ASH ELIZA SMITH

"Water Cure" is a term that ambiguously straddles the techniques of therapy and torture. The spa-scape becomes a blank site for the projection and enaction of desire, paranoia, anxiety, boredom, longing and lackings.

The lines between a psychological breakdown and sexual desire are explored while a couple is
on vacation in a spa resort.

With minimal sound design and dialogue a landscape is enacted with desire longing and alienation.

The camera shifts between self/other at times capturing a voyeuristic gaze.
