FORCE MAJEURE: EPISODE ONE (EXCERPT LOOP)

This is an an excerpted loop from a larger project which is an immersive experience using real-time systems to transform meteorological data into haptic, sonic, and visual sensations. Premiering at an exhibition in Zaandam, Netherlands, this installation marks the inaugural prototype of the Queer Weather project, laying groundwork for ongoing exploration of queering data. Utilizing archival wind data captured from Hurricane Helene, the piece digitally reconstructs and dissolves a real-world location into dynamic particle systems. Compelling soundscapes and tactile sensations are informed by data points so participants experience multisensory embodiment of the storm's power and presence.
